Journey
Understand & Research
For research and market validation, I conducted user testing on a high-fidelity prototype with three users. To ensure a diverse sample, I specifically selected users from different countries such as France, Switzerland, and the USA. I employed screener questions to capture the appropriate audience, targeting skiers and snowboarders aged 18-60.
Design & Collaborate
During the design phase, I developed multiple branding options and determined the minimum viable product (MVP) features for the map. These features included the ability to customise the map based on the user's preferred level of slopes. To gather user feedback, I employed the UserTesting platform to conduct tests with actual users. Additionally, my team and I personally tested the prototype during our own ski trips. This allowed us to identify any potential issues with the user experience (UX), user interface (UI), and development aspects.
As the design team lead for Baseplate, I am dedicated to creating a comprehensive one-stop platform for users' skiing adventures. My responsibilities include leading the design efforts to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience. Through user testing, research, and the design of engaging features, I play a crucial role in shaping the platform's success.
To validate our features and prioritise resource allocation, I have developed a strategy that leverages user data for informed design decisions. Our goal is to maximise efficiency by focusing on features that resonate with our users. I am thrilled to announce that our MVP will launch on the App Store for a soft launch at the end of this year, signalling the beginning of an exciting journey toward our vision of delivering an exceptional skiing experience.
